Pentagon String Ensemble are committed to bringing music to communities not able to travel long distances or in the evening for musical entertainment.
The ensemble regularly performs for various community projects including a lunchtime concert series in the Music Room at the Ripley Arts Center. They perform a variety of programmes for strings or strings with piano, inviting audience from surrounding care homes and community groups.
The ensemble is part of the Volunteer Community Time Bank giving out reduced price tickets for members and enlisting help for refreshments at the concert. This continuing Concert Series is partly funded by the Bromley Arts Council.
The String Duo have frequently performed at a variety of community groups, clubs and meeting groups connected with Age Concern including the Dementia Cafe in Chislehurst.
The Duo performs regularly at Great Ormond Street Hospital, most recently for the opening of the Morgan Stanley Clinical Building.
